aims
TechCeFaCos NGO Cameroon aims at promoting and encouraging developmental policies and strategic initiatives toward arts and computer technologies through strategic plans for greater socio-economic and educational development in Cameroon.
More specifically:
- Build awareness about ICT and its potentialities as a means of poverty reduction and development through innovative use of ICTs.
- Promote public-private partnership to generate ICT related development such as employment for young and women etc.
- Expand and strengthen the knowledge-society and the knowledge-economy and revamp the educational system to respond to the knowledge-driven demands of the new economy
- Promoting and marketing local cultural products (e.g. music, art, handcrafts) through sustainable community centers via e-commerce websites.
- Collect and disseminate information on grassroots problems, prospects, social movements, innovations and leadership to the policy level i.e. helping all citizens find out about and participate in decision-making.
- Develop enterprise capability, increase experience of ICT applications and raise awareness and enthusiasm about the diverse array of ICT opportunities.
- Promoting education through technology; developing a specialized ICT educational program involving the real world enterprise settings; and improving the efficiency, accessibility and quality of the learning process in our community.
- To serve as program facilitators in schools located in rural areas; and as well help educators in meeting educational goals through the effective use of technology.
- To advance understanding of the role of ICT in development by recognizing leaders in the field, and to assist in the spread of excellent programs and ideas across Cameroon and to support women.
