Management
Providing leadership to our efforts
Founder & Chairman - Emmanuel Fonyuy Sevidzem
The brain child behind this great idea is Emmanuel F. Sevidzem (simply known as EFS), whose experiences in life had inspired him on youth's dignity in growing with the spirit of Creativity in their thoughts.
Emmanuel had said: "The prime objective of launching the TeleCentre by TechCeFaCos NGO is to explore the digital opportunities by using ICTs for socioeconomic and educational development of the poor, needy, orphans and vulnerable, unemployed youths and underprivileged etc., as a great opportunity to ‘create new hope’ for them to meet up with real societal situations. These groups of people in our community are a major challenge in our society that need an integrated and objective solution based on ‘empowerment through ICTs’. Nexus to the above, our primary objective for this project is to bridge the digital gap and to open up the world for Kumbo community towards what is known as Knowledge Economy."
He stands as a symbol of hope and happiness in the world of Arts and Computing Technology for the youth as a promoter of critical and creative skills required in conquering poverty. He provides light to those who are still groping in the darkness of unemployment and idleness due to lack of skill, knowledge, as well as a source of hope for those not able to stand up to the rigors of this life.
Managing Director, US Branch - Kiran Reddy Yeddala
Kiran joined TechCeFaCos in 2007 as an online volunteer working directly under the supervision of EFS for various projects of TechCeFaCos in Cameroon. Inspired by the philanthropic efforts and activities of EFS, Kiran has taken up the initiative of promoting TechCeFaCos and had setup a branch in the United States. The organization is incorporated in the state of Virginia under the name "TechCeFaCos US".
With a Masters degree and a vast experience working for leading Service Providers in the US, Kiran has carried over his experiences to establish, maintain and promote TechCeFaCos US.
Kiran had said: "The role of education in poverty eradication, in close co-operation with other social sectors, is crucial. No country has succeeded if it has not educated its people. Not only is education important in reducing poverty, it is also a key to wealth creation. Poor children have numerous disadvantages in relation to their better-off counterparts. They are usually less healthy, their language skills less developed (a factor that has negative influence on school achievement), and they are generally less well equipped - socially, emotionally and physically - to undertake a school programme. If their disadvantaged position and different day-to-day experiences are not taken into account by school education, it is no wonder that they are unable to benefit fully from the school system."
While working a full time job Kiran is dedicating his free time for the promotion and growth of TechCeFaCos US, thus serving as an inspiration to all the members willing to help the organization without affecting their daily routine. He is actively working with various partners and promoters of an identical cause in the US and Canada to achieve a common goal.
*** Both Emmanuel and Kiran are serving the organization in a pro-bono capacity. ***
