Madam Marie Antoinette Nzepa, former TechCeFaCos trainee

I am really glad I have been doing well after making it great from TechCeFaCos’ ICT Training & Capacity Building Program!

I found the ‘ICT Training Course Program’ with TechCeFaCos TeleCentre’s Computer Training Development tough but definitely worth it. In a few weeks you get immersed into great Basic Computing Techniques and Skills, inspiring you for their 9 months course. Marie ANtionette NzepaMy current job and responsibility as an IT expert in G.S.S Melim, has greatly proven how practical their ‘ICT Training Course Program’ is. There is also a very good balance between the theoretical input and practical training sessions. Observing other techniques and training skills, I really see their great vision of coming up with an IT School as competent and resourceful in staffs and technical cooperation through volunteering services! I particularly enjoyed the fact that the course gave me a totally different perspective about ICTs & Education; as well as ICT for Sustainable Development. I inherited knowlege to adopt a system and approach to teach, create awareness, animate on ICT related issues, which are different from a core traditional teaching role of other subjects.

Tutors are supportive as well as volunteers were great and very supportive and collaborative in all their training session by facilitating and providing us with a whole range of useful ideas, tools and materials to enhance our studies. They gently push you with positive observations and feedback so you achieve your best and improve your skills throughout the course session. Due to the methods that involve ‘On-Job-Training’ session, we the trainees develop a growing and special relationship with the public likewise other relationship that foster supportive initiatives, making the stressful moments much more bearable, etc.

Mrs. Fon Linda - Oscarwind Nursery & Primary School Teacher

I, and a number of my colleagues at that time, greatly exploited TechCeFaCos’ 'e-Kids program initiative' in which we found out this software EDUTAINMENT as a great tool to aid teaching using digital technology with kids.

children in front of computerWe noticed that playing the game also motivates our pupils to work on pronounciation and aural skills, since they need to ask the questions clearly and listen to each other carefully. Our pupils find the edutainment content very resourceful and enjoyable to play with as well as a way of recycling and acquiring vocabulary for emotional expression. They value the opportunity to do an activity fully independently of their teacher and supporting staff of TechCeFaCos ICT Resource Lab. All in all, we feel thankul to TechCeFaCos and her 'e-Kids initiative' as well as Mr. Tom Brough of UK, their patron for his kind help in promoting the educational system of primary school pupils of Cameroon through TechCeFaCos NGO Cameroon. So, I recommend teachers and ministry of basic education to work hand-in-hand with TechCeFaCos NGO Cameroon.
